Fifteenth Blog: Discussion of 1x19 "Don't Let Go"

One word to describe "Don't Let Go", tear-jerker......
This episode was full of genuine emotion. I think the biggest shocker was Callie and Jude finally seeing their father. Throughout the show all we have heard about their father was that he was some deadbeat loser but when we finally meet him we realize he was not like what we expected. He was surprisingly humble and filled with apologies. He wanted to do whatever Callie wanted. Both Maia Mitchell (Callie) and Hayden Byerly (Jude) gave such incredibly strong performances throughout the episode but especially in the scene where they saw were talking to their father just before he relinquished his rights as their parent. I personally would love to see Callie and Jude adopted by the Foster family but at the same time I can't help feeling bad for their father, what about you all?

The other big thing that happened in this episode was when Mariana got an unexpected invitation from Zac's mother. It was surprising to find out that Zac's mother is possibly suffering from a mental health disorder and it will be interesting to see this issue through Zac and Mariana's eyes. Not only that, but to see how this will affect their relationship.

This was such a heart-warming episode and I can't wait to see what happens next week. Feel free to leave comments below! Thanks :)
