Fourth Blog: Discussion of 1x08 "Clean"

My fourth Blog! Hope you enjoy.....

Let's discuss theories and the ultimate question on everyone's mind which is who got shot at the end of the episode! At the end of the episode we saw Stef and Mike go into Ana's (or her boyfriend's) home and then we heard 5 shots go off and we were left with the HUGE cliffhanger of who it was that was shot. Many speculated that it was Jesus that got shot but if you look at the sneak peeks for next week, you will see Jesus and that he's fine. I'm thinking it was either Stef or Mike who got shot but I don't feel like anyone is getting killed off the show. Who do you all think was shot and do you think Mike could have been drunk when he went into the house with Stef?

I also really loved how Jesus and Mariana bonded in this episode and you can see how much they just want to protect each other. But I didn't like the fact that Mariana is finally against her biological mom but Jesus is on her side and wants to help her get into a women's shelter. I know he just wants to help her but we all know Ana is going to use him. What are your thoughts on this? Also feel free to discuss anything else from the episode and leave your comments below! To be honest I think that Mike got shot, because if it's Stef, Lena would be much more upset, she would be crying and everything and we don't see that in the promo, though they could've easily remove those scenes from it. And I think that Mike was drunk when he went into the house with Stef, and honestly that's one of the main reasons why I think he got shot, he couldn't take that much care of himself because he was drunk. And Jesus has to realize that Ana is not his family just because they share the same blood. She wasn't there for all these years and suddenly she just shows up and asks for money, well it doesn't work that way. If she really cares about them, she'd try to connect with them way earlier or she wouldn't even give them for adoption.

I agree with you, I think it was Mike who was shot and I believe he was drunk when he went into that house too. And to be honest, I think Jesus is going to have to learn the same lesson Mariana learned when it comes to Ana. In one of the sneak peeks we see that Jesus helped Ana get into a women's shelter but then she claims she needs money for a toothbrush (which is obviously a lie) but he gives her the money anyway. I think he will be learning not to trust her very soon. And I agree with what you said, if she really cared about them she would have tried to connect with them a lot sooner.
