Second Blog: Discussion of 1x06 "Saturday"

This is my second blog! Hope you enjoy.....

The first thing I wanted to discuss is Mariana's relationship with her biological mother. Ana used Mariana the first time they met and as soon as Ana got her money she quickly abandoned Mariana again. Yes you can argue that it was sweet of her to get Mariana a birthday gift in this episode but judging by their last encounter I am not willing to forgive her so easily. And if you look at the promo for next weeks episode you will see that Ana wants to use Mariana again. When do you think Mariana will realize she's being used? And do you think Mariana should be trusting Ana?

Another thing I wanted to discuss is Stef's father. I wanted to pose several questions to you all. For example, what do you think of Stef's father and his religious views? How did you feel when he said that his daughter being gay was a sin or when he said that her being gay was a choice? Clearly her being gay isn't a choice but it is clearly who she is. Stef said, "who I love shouldn't be an issue for you or anyone" and I personally loved that line because it's so true. I'm really glad that her father did apologize to her at the end of the episode and that he showed progress and took the blame for his daughter not having God in her life anymore. What are your thoughts?

Another thing I wanted to discuss is Wyatt and Callie. Personally I don't ship them but I have to admit that I did feel bad for him in this episode how he was losing his home. I'm glad Callie was there to comfort him and I loved when she told him that the house is not who he is and that it doesn't define him. I felt like this episode kind of showed us why Wyatt is the way he is. What are your thoughts on Wyatt and do you ship Wyatt and Callie or are you a Ballie shipper?

Final Thoughts: What are you all thinking of Liam now that we have seen him? I feel like he's either going to stalk Callie or hurt her in some way like maybe try to wreck her life with her new foster family.

So first of all, I'm glad you're still writing your blog, it's awesome.:)
I personally think Mariana shouldn't trust Ana because she's actually still using her to get money. I mean Ana says that she needs that money for rehab but I think she doesn't need it for that, she actually needs it to buy more drugs/alcohol or whatever she's addicted to. Eventually, Mariana will realize that and she'll stop with trusting her, I'm sure.
And about Stef's dad, I don't think it's his business to discuss is Stef gay or not, that's her life and even if she's his daughter and he's not okay with it, he has to accept it.
And as you know, I'm a Ballie shipper but tbh I really like relationship between Wyatt and Callie in the last episode, I liked how Callie was there for him and you could've seen that he felt safe with her, you know what I mean.
Btw we were so right about Liam, I knew he's that guy from that foster home that Callie was talking Brandon about! And he'll most definitely try to stalk her and hurt her but Brandon will be there to save the day (or Wyatt we'll see) I'm sure.;)

First of all, I want to tell you thank you! I completely agree with you about Mariana and Ana, I just hope that Mariana will stop trusting her soon.
And you're right about Stef's father, I mean his daughter is all grown up and he has no right to tell her how to live her life and who she loves really shouldn't be an issue for him. Luckily at the end of the episode it seemed like he was making some sort of progress.
And yes I know you're a Ballie shipper ;) and I agree with what you said! I loved how she was there for him too. To be honest, I ship Ballie and I ship Wyatt and Callie friendship.
I also loved how we were right about Liam and definitely either Brandon or Wyatt will be there to protect Callie.
Btw I love how we agree on everything :) xx
