Third Blog: Discussion of 1x07 "The Fallout"

This is my third blog and it will be a little shorter than normal because I just want to discuss one thing from this weeks episode.....

As we all know, after Mariana spilled the beans about Jesus and Lexi, Lexi's parents attempted to keep Lexi away from Jesus and they were also going to send her away to another school. Of course though, Lexi rebelled and ran away to Hotel Mariana ;) where she stayed for awhile until Mariana and Jesus told her that her parents and herself were illegal immigrants (which I did not see coming). This led Lexi to return to her parents where she told them that if they tried to send her away she would call immigration services herself so I think it's pretty safe to say that Lexi won't be going anywhere. On the bright side, I'm glad Mariana and Lexi are friends again!

You don't know how happy I am because you're still writing your blog!:)
I'm not such a huge fan of blackmails but since there wasn't any other way for Lexi to stay, she handled in that situation pretty well. I mean if I put myself into her shoes, I would probably do the same. And to be honest I think her parents are little bit exaggerating, I mean I know she's only 15 but it's not like Jesus raped her, they both agreed to do what they did. Yeah, things got little bit out of control but at the end everything was fine. And maybe if Lexi's parents (I'm mostly thinking about her mom) are more open when it comes to sex and everything that comes with it, Lexi would maybe talk about the pill with her mom and she would probably be mad at first but I'm sure she'll forgive her. But at the other hand, maybe it's better that things are the way they are, I mean if this didn't happen who knows when would Mariana forgive Lexi, I think they even got closer after this, and I'm so glad they're friends again.

You don't know how happy I am that you keep reading my blog ;) And I completely agree with you! Like normally blackmailing wouldn't be the ideal situation but her parents weren't really being reasonable and they were punishing her for what they believe was a mistake. And you're right, I think Lexi's mom should be more open with her daughter because maybe then Lexi won't be so scared to go behind her mom's back anymore. I also think that Mariana and Lexi grew closer from what happened :)
